Our goal is to rebuild the healthcare system of our kupuna, while integrating the good of today's practices and technology. Our goal is to build Ka Hale Hoʻola Maoli. The Native Hawaiian Healing Center in which all forms of hana hoʻola maoli (Native Hawaiian Healing), as well as psychological practices, are provided to the lahui - All in one hale (place). A hub where anyone can be triaged to the appropriate hana hoʻola as needed.
For us, that future looks like at least one hub per island where any of our hoa hoʻola can walk in and receive Hoʻoponopono, Laʻau Lapaʻau, Lomilomi, Ola Kino, etc. all without leaving the building.
Currently, Na Aliʻi o Ka Malu is an Oʻahu-based psychological and Native Hawaiian healing practice offering secure telehealth services throughout Hawaiʻi. We currently offer Hoʻoponopono, Multicultural Integrative Therapy for individuals and couples, Clinical and Cultural Consultation, and GOLD.
Each service has its own purpose, process, and boundaries. Some people come seeking psychological care, some seek a culturally grounded healing process, and others need guidance with a clinical, cultural, relational, spiritual, or organizational concern. The Hoʻomaka, or Initial Consultation, helps us understand what you are seeking and determine which service may be the best fit.

It is what allowed Kanaka Maoli (Native Hawaiians) to survive for thousands of years amongst each other in the most isolated place in the world. It is more than just a practice, more than just a saying or way of life. It is something that anyone can comprehend as it touches upon universal concepts shared by many other cultures.
That being said, Hoʻoponopono is not for everyone. Not because of any bias or discrimination, but rather because it requires an individual, a group, a community, or a people as a whole to be ready for it. Readiness is something discussed between the Haku (Practitioner), the hoa hoʻola (Participants in Healing), and Ke Akua (Creator/God/Universe).
Moʻokuʻauhau (Genealogy) is sacred and must be honored. We are always open to discussing our moʻokuʻauhau of knowledge that brought forth our ability to practice Hoʻoponopono. These questions, however, can only be answered Alo I Ke Alo, Face to Face. We are more than willing to discuss with those who are interested.

Individual therapy offers a private and collaborative space to better understand what you are carrying, how it may be affecting your life, and what can help you move forward. Care is shaped around your goals, strengths, identity, relationships, culture, community, and lived experiences.
Our Multicultural Integrative Therapy approach uses cultural understanding as a foundation while drawing from multiple psychological approaches to create care tailored to each person. Therapy may support concerns involving depression, grief, anger, burnout, self-esteem, relationships, career decisions, major transitions, discrimination, cultural or systemic oppression, and historical or intergenerational trauma.
Specialized support may also be available for men’s issues, medical-professional stress, high performers, athletes, sports-related concerns, and people who have felt misunderstood or hesitant to engage with conventional mental-health services. Therapy may also be provided in ʻOlelo Hawaiʻi when appropriate.

Couples therapy offers a structured space for partners to slow down, communicate more clearly, and better understand the patterns shaping their relationship. Rather than deciding who is right or wrong, the work focuses on the relationship and what each partner contributes to it.
Our Multicultural Integrative Therapy approach considers each partner’s experiences alongside the cultural, familial, spiritual, and community influences surrounding the relationship. Therapy may help partners navigate communication difficulties, recurring conflict, anger, trust, intimacy, family expectations, grief, parenting, betrayal, and major life transitions.
Couples therapy may support married, unmarried, and premarital partners. Care may draw from emotionally focused, interpersonal, family-systems, person-centered, and solution-focused approaches according to the relationship’s needs and shared goals.

GOLD offers a structured space to explore growth, career, life direction, and the possibilities ahead. Rather than focusing on diagnosis or treatment, the work centers on identifying where you want to go, understanding what may help you get there, and developing practical next steps to bring those ideas to life.
Our psychologist-guided non-clinical coaching approach considers your strengths, personality, values, culture, relationships, experiences, and goals. GOLD may support career exploration, professional development, major life transitions, decision-making, confidence, motivation, personal growth, new opportunities, goal development, and building a life that feels increasingly aligned with who you are and where you want to go.
GOLD may support individuals who are doing well and simply want to grow, change direction, explore an idea, or build something new. Sessions may draw from coaching psychology, positive psychology, career development, strengths-based, person-centered, and solution-focused approaches according to your goals and needs.
